Soccer Bug

soccerbug_x_600Football Training for 4 to 11 year olds:

Soccer Bug is a progressive football training program devised through Sports Bug by qualified football coaches and following the guidelines set out by the Football Association. Through a series of fun games like Stuck in the Mud, Sharks and Fishes, Star Wars, Robin Hood and many more, initially children learn basic football skills like dribbling, passing and shooting.

As children progress they also learn the rules of the game as well as tactics and team play.

Soccer Bug was started 3 years ago with one session and 12 children. In three years it has grown in popularity with five venues across the Island, 7 coaches and over 100 children now enjoying the specialized training each week. Sessions take place at Springfield Stadium, St Mary Community Centre, Grouville School and St Michael's School.

Our venues cater for both indoors and outdoor training depending on the weather.

The Soccer Bug School of Excellence provides pupils with extra training and a chance to develop their football skills to an even higher level with the view to entering teams in  local tournaments and freindly games against other clubs.
