What is Sports Bug?
Sports Bug Ltd is a Jersey Channel Islands based Company offering a wide range of Sports Activities to children aged one to 11 in Jersey.
When was Sports Bug Born?
Sports Bug started in January 1997, nearly 13 years ago.
How did it come about?
Sports Bug is the brainchild of Jersey sports coach Tim Le Feuvre who saw the need for children to develop sports skills from an early age. Having been frustrated by the seemingly lack of basic co-ordination skills in children coming to him for tennis coaching, Tim felt that something should be set up to get children co-ordinated for sport and so what is known as Sports Bug today was born. (see History of Sports Bug)
The rest is History!

What is Sports Bug trying to achieve?
The aim of Sports Bug is to introduce children to a healthy lifestyle though Sport and to provide a positive learning environment where children can have fun and reach their full sporting potentials (see Success Stories).
As well as developing sporting skills having fun, Sports Bug tries to instill other values like fair play and sportsmanship to all the children who attend. We want to help children learn about the importance of becoming a team player by working with and helping one another. Being a good team player and appreciating what it entails, we feel, is just as important as being a technically skillful player.
Each session is delivered in a positive manner by enthusiastic qualified coaches ensuring that children develop not only sports skills but confidence and a high self esteem too.
